    Magnetic Bomb Blast in Herat city, One Injured

    A magnetic bomb blast just took place in PD 2 of Herat city and so far one 10-year-old child has been injured.

    Herat governor spokesman, Jilani Farhad has confirmed the incident.

    In relation to that, it has been reported that one person had been arrested by the police shortly after the explosion.

    Breaking: Magnetic Bomb Blast in Western Kabul

    A magnetic bomb blast just took place in Western Kabul and so far there has been one casualty. Initial reports indicated that the blast happened in PD 5 of Kabul, near the company area.

    According to ToloNews, one has been confirmed dead due to the blast.

    It has also been reported that the magnetic bomb exploded on a four-runner type vehicle.

    280 MoD Personnel Introduced to Justice and Judicial Authorities.

    Ministry of Defence officials at a news conference announced the introduction of 280 personnel of the ministry to justice and judicial authorities.

    Defence ministry spokesman Ghafur Ahmad Jawid said on Thursday at a press conference that some personnel of the ministry from the Generals to civil servants have been introduced to justice and judicial authorities, who have been accused of corruption, bribery and neglect of duty.

    Mr. Jawid added that with the reform of the national logistics process, more than 13.5 billion AFNs have been saved from being wasted by the Ministry of Defense.

    Developing Story: Khogyani Explosion Targeted NGO Building

    Atuallah Ghogyani spokesman to Nangahar governor has confirmed the explosion Khogyani district of Nangarhar to Repoerterly stating that the explosion took place in front of the BRAC building in Khogyani. BRAC is an NGO from Bangladesh which implements various projects and is currently the implementing organisation of the Citizen Charter Program in Afghanistan.

    It has also been confirmed that 2 dead and 6 wounded cases possibly from the incident.

    54,000 Afghan Security and Defense Forces to Provide Election Security

    Afghan security officials have confirmed the preparation of these agencies to secure elections on 20th October.

    The Deputy Spokesman to Minister of Interior, Nasrat Rahimi, who spoke at a news conference on Thursday, said that 54,000 security and defense forces are set to provide security to 5,100 polling stations across 21,000 polling sites on the election day.

    “We are set to ensure the security of the election, safe transportation of election materials, security of polling stations and polling sites, voters’ safety and the security of electoral campaigns, based on a comprehensive security plan”, said Ghafur Ahmad Jawid, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, at a press conference.

    The spokesman for the Ministry of Defense said that the election materials have been transferred to all the provinces.

    Breaking: Explosion in Ghogyani, Nangarhar

    Provincial officials have confirmed that an explosion took place minutes ago.

    Sources from Nangarhar health department have informed of 2 wounded cases possibly from the incident.

    6 IS-K Fighters Killed in Nangarhar

    Security officials have reported the killing of 6 IS-K fighters in Nangarhar provinces.

    The ministry of defense said in a statement that 6 IS-K  have been killed in an airstrike on Khugyani and Pachiragam districts of Nangarhar Province.

    According to the statement, two narcotic drug’s process factories have aslo been destroyed.

    132 Terrorists Killed and Wounded in Faryab and Ghazni

    Security officials have reported the killing and wounding of 132 terrorists in 13 Faryab and Ghazni provinces.

    “As a result of special operations of the security forces over the past 24 hours in Khwaja Sabzpush district of Faryab province, 37 terrorists were killed and 80 others wounded.”, stated 209 Shahin Corps in a statement.

    The ministry of defense also said in a statement that 9 terrorist have been killed and six others were wounded in an airstrike on Andar district of Ghazni Province.

    The statement provides no detail about the causalities of security forces and civilians.

    38 Terrorists Killed and Wounded in Two Provinces of Afghanistan

    Security officials have reported killing and wounding 38 terrorists in the provinces of Kandahar and Laghman.

    As a result of the Afghan Security Forces cleanup operation in Khakrez district of of Kandahar, 17 terrorists have been killed and seven others wounded, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

    The ministry said in another statement that 10 terrorist have been killed and four others were wounded in a similar operations in Alingar district of Laghman Province.

    The statement provides no detail about the causalities of security forces and civilians.

    Taliban Shadow District Governor for Abkamri ِِDistrict of Badghis Province Killed

    Security officials have reported the killing of Taliban shadow district governor for Abkamri district of Badghis province.

    “The Taliban commander has been killed after his attack on Khaliq Tlu security outpost of Abkamri district”., according to Badghis Police spokesman, Naqibullah Amini, while confirming the death of Mullah Noor Agha.

    Amini added that eight people were killed and eight others wounded in the clash.

    The Badghis police spokesman have reported no casualties of Afghan National Police.

    US Special Representative Travels to Afghanistan

    In a media note released on Wednesday, it was states that US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalizad would be leading an interagency delegation to Afghanistan, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia from October 4-14.

    As per the statement, the agenda of Mr Khalizad’s trip would be “to coordinate and lead U.S. efforts to bring the Taliban to the negotiating table.”

    This will be Mr Khalizad’s first trip since his appointment.
