    Local Radio Anchor Killed in Paktia, Number of Media Victims in 2019 Reaches to 7

    Nai, supporting open media in Afghanistan says that with the murder of a radio anchor in Paktia province, the number of media victims in 2019 reached to 7 people in the country.

    Nai, quoting from Abdul Rashid Jalalzai, an official from the radio station said that: “Nadir Shah
    disappeared on Friday evening and security forces found his body in Bagh-e-Per area in Gardiz on Saturday.”

    Nai in a statement called on the Ministry of Interior Affairs to run a thorough investigation into the murder of the journalist.
    According to Nai he is the 7th media victim in year 2019.

    Developing: Two Attackers Killed in Badghis Gunmen Attack

    It has been reported that wo attackers were killed as fighting is on between security forces and gunmen at a hotel in Qala-e-Naw, the center of Badghis province, the Interior Ministry’s spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said.

    Rahimi says there were total three attackers.

    It was earlier reported that a group of attackers entered a hotel in Qala-e-Naw, the center of Badghis province, at around 12:40pm local time.

    The attackers are fighting against security forces, the Interior Ministry’s spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed.

    A Network of 4 Members Arrested in Baghlan

    The NDS has reported the arrest of a network of 4members who was involved in terrorist attack in Baghlan province.

    National Directorate of Security in a statement said on Saturday that, as a result of NDS special forces operation a network of 4-member who were involved in terrorist attacks and explosions attacks IS-K were arrested from surrounding of city of Pul-e-Khumri.

    According to the statement, Abdul Jamil who was in charge of recruitment of IS-K terrorist group in central Baghlan districts and Baraka district of Baghlan is also among the detainees.

    The statement further added that Jamil was actively involved in preparing suicide bombing vests and improvised explosive devices.

    Furthermore, the National Directorate of Security said Jamil lost his son and other relative in a premature IED explosion in their home at 2016 and also his nephew committed suicide attack in 2018 in a mosque in Herat province.

    In another operation, the National Directorate of Security Special Forces arrested Sayed Mehrabuddin son of Sayed Meraj who was running a shop in Pul-e-Khumri city and was planting magnetic bombs in the vehicles, as per NDS.

    Breaking: Attackers Enter Hotel in Badghis Province

    It has been reported that a group of attackers entered a hotel in Qala-e-Naw, the center of Badghis province, at around 12:40pm local time.

    The attackers are fighting against security forces, the Interior Ministry’s spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed.

    3 Women, 2 Children Killed at Home By Armed Gunmen in Balkh

    Three women and two children were killed and wounded by armed gunmen in a home in Balkh province, as per security official

    Speaking to Reporterly on Saturday, Adil Shah spokesman of Balkh police said that: “on Friday afternoon around 3pm, unidentified gunmen entered the home of Shaima daughter of Mohammad in PD6 of Mazar-i-Sharif, killed and wounded three women and two children. “

     

    He added that as a result of this shooting, three women were killed and two children were injured.

    Mr. Adil attributed the cause of the murder to family enmity and stressed that Ms Shaima had earlier divorced from her husband.

    He emphasized that, so far, no one has been arrested in connection with this incident but police investigation is underway.

    US Service Member Killed in Afghanistan

    It has been announced by NATO-led Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan that a U.S. service member lost his life in Afghanistan.

    The Resolute Support Mission in a statement said the U.S. service member lost his life earlier on Saturday.

    The statement did not disclose further information, stating that “In accordance with U.S. Department of Defense policy, the name of the service member killed in action is being withheld until 24 hours after notification of next of kin is complete.”

    Police Commander Injured As a Placed Mine Went Off in Kandahar

    Security officials reported that a police commander was injured in an embedded mine explosion in Kandahar province.

    Ahmadzia Durani spokesperson of Kandahar police told Reporterly that: “an embedded mine was discovered by police on Saturday morning in surrounding of PD4 of Kandahar in Karawan alley which went off while defusing.”

    He further added that, an outpost police commander was wounded in the incident.

    Five Detained in Connection With Terrorist Attacks in Kabul

    Security forces have reported the arrest of five individuals in connection with terrorist attacks in Kabul.

    Ministry of Interior in a statement said on Saturday that, in an operation MoI Special Police Force in surrounding of Deh Sabz district of Kabul city, five individuals were arrested.

    The statement further added that, the detainees are the residence of Mazar-i-Sharif, Charhar Asyab, Deh Sabz and Charkh districts who were living in Deh Sabz district.

    Suspect Arrested in Connection with Mina Mangal’s Murder

    The police forces arrested another suspect in connection with the murder of female journalist Mina Mangal, who was murdered in May this year.

    According to Ministry of Interior’s statement, the police forces arrested Dost Mohammad, one of the suspects involved in the murder of Mina Mangal.

    The statement further added that the family of Minga Mangal had filed complaints against Dost Mohammad.

    Furthermore, the ministry of interior said Dost Mohammad was arrested in Mohammad Agha district of Logar province.

    Three Police Personnel Killed & Injured in an Explosion in Nangarhar

    Provincial officials reported the killing and injuries of 3 police personnel as a result of a magnetic bomb explosion in Nangarhar.

    Speaking to Reporterly, Attaullah Khogyani Nangarhar provincial spokesman said that: “on Saturday morning a magnetic bomb hit a police vehicle in Jalalabad city which killed one police and wounded two others. “

    The incident took place in surrounding of PD5 of Jalalabad city, as per Khogyani.

    He further added that the suicide attack occurred yesterday in Pacher Agam district of the province at a wedding party, killed 9 people and injured 12 others.
