The High Peace Council has announced that their chairman is visiting Brussels, Belgium.
HPC chariman, Mohammad Karim Khalili left Afghanistan to participate in two-day conference on peace in Afghanistan which is organized by the European Institute of Peace in Belgium, said High Peace Council in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement added that Peace High Council chairman will address about Afghan peace process tomorrow at the conference.
The visit of High Peace Council chairman takes place just after Umer Davudzai, head of the secretariat of the council had visited Germany and India for a peace process.
Saudi Arabia said on Monday that it had intercepted two missiles in Mecca province fired by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis, who earlier denied having targeted Islam’s holiest site, as reported by Reuters.
The foiled strike comes at a time of heightened tensions between Tehran and Gulf Arab states and a roughly four-year conflict in Yemen largely seen as a proxy war between the two sides.
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are leading a Western-backed coalition of Sunni Muslim states that intervened in Yemen in 2015 to try to restore the internationally recognized government ousted from power in Sanaa by the Houthis in late 2014.
A Saudi coalition spokesman said, “Royal Saudi Defence Forces spotted aerial targets flying through restricted areas in the provinces of Jeddah and Taif and dealt with them as required by the situation,” according to Saudi’s state news agency SPA.
In a tweet, Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Washington said the two missiles had been intercepted in Mecca province, which includes Jeddah and Taif.
NSA, Hamdullah Mohib while appreciating the support of international community in Afghanistan, especially the United States said that cooperation between Kabul and Washington and other international partners has come to existence based on blood and sacrifices.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of students of American University of Afghanistan, Mr. Mohib said that the Afghan government is determined to bring back the two kidnapped professors of the American University by the name of (Kevin King and Timothy Wicks) who are help captives of Taliban.

He emphasized that the Afghan security and defense forces are constantly defending the values of governance, rule of law, justice and freedom, and fight for an Afghanistan in which tribes and warlords do not determine the way of life, and according to him, this path is the vision of president Ghani for alasting peace in Afghanistan.
Security officials reported the killing of 8 key Taliban commanders in Kunduz province.
The Taliban commanders were killed as a result of a joint operation of police forces and commandos conducted last night on an important hideout of insurgents in Aqtash district of Kunduz province, Nusrat Rahimi MoI spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Rahimi added that in the operation, 48 different types of mines, some ammunition and an IED factory of Taliban insurgents were destroyed.
It is said that the commanders of Taliban were killed in the operation were involved in design and organization of terrorist activities in different part of the province.
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) said that holding presidential election on 28 September is the red line of the commission.
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) stated this at meeting of Civil Society Coordination Group and international organizations involved in the Afghan elections. They added that the presidential elections, provincial council and parliamentary elections of Ghazni province should be held at the same time.
IEC emphasizes on simultaneous holding of presidential elections, Ghazni parliamentary elections and district council at the time which previously some reports said that institutions and supporter of Afghan elections suggested separate organization of presidential elections and two other elections.
Previously, Afghan Ministry of Finance had announced that the ministry has readiness to provide budget for the first part of presidential elections, provincial council and parliamentary elections in Ghazni.

Telegram’s online channel also published an audio message by the emir of the KIB’s Afghan division Jumabai Hafizahulloh, who calls on the Mujahideen to “commit Istighfar (the act of seeking forgiveness from Allah) to defeat foreign invaders led by the United States of Satan and establish Sharia law in Afghanistan.”
Local officials have announced that imported electricity in Ghazni province has been cut.
The imported electricity of Ghazni has been interrupted during the clashes between the security forces and the Taliban in the Sultan Khail area in surrounding of Salar area of Sayed Abad district of Wardak province, media office of Ghazni province said on Tuesday.
Ghazni media office added local residents of the area prevented Breshna technical team to connect this power line.
According to Ghazni media office, Wahidullah Kalimzai, governor of Ghazni province, has contacted Maidan Wardak authorities and it is planned that Breshna technical team will re-connect the power line on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, recently local residents in an area of Maidan Wardak have prevented the work to connect the power line of Ghazni Province.
At the Economic Committee Meeting of Council of Ministers chaired by CEO Dr. Abdullah, the Ministry of Finance announced that the income tax law has been sent to parliament with specific suggestions for adjustment.
It has been reported that in this law, investors of production newly established companies will be exempted from tax at start-up of their work for three years and two percent of the contract’s tax from the private sector will be eliminated.
The report states that, in Tax Administration Law tax the penalties dropped by 50% and the process has also been simplified and shortened. In the event of a taxpayer’s objection, the complaints department and the tax court are activated. The tax dispute board is also supposed to be established.
Transparency and simplification of the tax process will increase investment and domestic revenues, Mr. Abdullah stated at the meeting. He further added that more facilities should be provided for paying and refining tax.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer has directed State Ministry for Parliamentary Affairs to accelerate the process of examining and approving the law on income taxes in parliament.
