Sayed Azim Kabrzany: Lawmaker from Herat

Sayed Azim Kabrzany, son of Abud Ali Shah, was born in 1981 in Herat province.

Mr. Kabrzany graduated from Mawlana Abdulrahman Jami school of Herat province in 2001. He then earned his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from Herat University in 2005.

Mr. Karbzany has previously served at the Herat Provincial Council and also has served as a volunteer lecturer at private universities Herat University.

He runs a charity organization called Nabi Rahmat (PBUH) and in addition to these activities, he has contributed to cultural initiatives in a “Publishers and Booksellers association”.

He is from the Sadat tribe and it is the first time that he entered the Afghan parliament. Mr. Karbzany doesn’t hold membership in political parties.

Haji Mohammad Hashim Khan: Lawmaker from Faryab

Haji Mohammad Hashim Khan was born in 1960 in second district of Maimana city of Faryab province.

He completed primary school at Jamiat Afghan Kot school of Maimana city, but graduated from Harbi (military) school of Kabul city. After completing military school, Haji Mohammad Hashim Khan joined the Army Technical Academy. He graduated as an officer from the Academy in 1981. Mr. Khan served in the military for a while, after which he commenced his business and transit works.

It is the second time that Haji Mohammad Hashim Khan entered the parliament. In the previous term, he served as a member of the National Finance Commission and also as a deputy of the Commission for two years.

He is an ethnic Pashtun and has been an independent candidate for parliamentary election.

Khalil Ahmad Mojahid; Lawmaker from Kandahar

Khalil Ahmad Mojahid was born in Arghandab district of Kandahar province.

Mr. Mojahid holds a bachelor’s degree.

He is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time he entered House of Representatives. Mr. Mojahid doesn’t hold membership in political parties.

Ruhollah Khanzada: Lawmaker from Kandahar

Ruhollah Khanzada was born in 1971 in Dand district of Kandahar province.

Mr. Khandaza obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from Tolo-e-Aftab Institute of Higher Education.

Prior to entering parliament, he had been busy with business operations.

Ruhollah Khanzada is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He doesn’t hold membership in political parties.

Abdul Rauf Eshpon: Lawmaker from Nangarhar

Abdul Rauf Eshpon was born in Nangarhar province. He holds a 12th grade diploma.

Prior to entering the parliament, he had been busy with business activities.

Mr. Eshpon is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He is a member of National Islamic Front of Afghanistan.

Khalid Momand; Lawmaker from Logar

Khalid Momand, son of Haji Ali Mohammad, was born in 1982 in Logar province.

He graduated from the Hazrat Khail school in Pakistan and received his 14th grade diploma from Ghazanfar Institute. Mr. Momand then earned his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Maihan Institute of Higher education in 2015.

Prior to nominating himself in the parliamentary election, Mr. Mohmand worked in the health sector. He was the owner of a clinic and a private pharmacy in Kabul city and has provided health services for the people.

Khalid Momand is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He doesn’t hold membership in political parties.

 

Haji Ghulam Wali Afghan: Lawmaker from Helmand

Haji Ghulam Wali Afghan was born in 1986 in Nawa district of Helmand province.

He graduated from Khalij school in 2006. Mr. Afghan then earned his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from Arakozia University in Helmand province.

Before nominating himself to parliamentary elections, Mr. Afghan had served in several units of the Afghan Army.

Mr. Afghan is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He doesn’t hold membership in political parties.

Mohammad Zafar Sadiqi: Lawmaker from Helmand

Mohammad Zafar Sadiqi was born in 1956 in Nawmish district of Helmand province.

He studied in school till 8th grade in Nawmish district.

It is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. Prior to his candidature for parliamentary election, Mr. Sadiqi had been busy with business operations.

He doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate for parliamentary election. Mr. Sadiqi says that his ethnicity is mentioned as Tajik in ID card (Taskira) but he is a Shia and from a tribe called Bashlami.

Zuhra Nawrozi: Lawmaker from Kabul

Zuhra Nawzori was born in 1987. She earned a 14th grade diploma from the Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Teacher Training College and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Law from a private university.

She has worked as a journalist and presenter in two media outlets for 12 years. She is the director of Organization for Bright Future of Afghan Women.

Ms Nawrozi is an ethnic Hazara and it is the first time that she entered the House of Representatives.

Fatima Nazari: Lawmaker from Kabul

Fatima Nazari, daughter of Chaman Ali, was born in 1980 in Kabul city.

She completed school from the Chahar Qala Chahar Dehi High School. Ms Nazari then obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law from Kabul University in 2001.

She served as the Director of the Women Affairs Directorate of Maidan Wardak province and had been a member of the Constitutional Loya Jirga. Ms Nazari is also the founder of Rabia Balkhi University and the head of Khaharan Hajar Association.

Fatima Nazari is an ethnic Hazara and it is the third time she won a seat in the Afghan parliament. In the 16th round of parliament, she had served as a member of the Commission on Immunities, Rights and Privileges of Afghan parliament. Ms Nazari doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate for parliamentary election from Kabul city.

General Nazifa Zaki: Lawmaker from Kabul

General Nazifa Zaki was born in 1963 in Faiz Abad district of Badakhshan province.

Ms Zaki graduated from Makhfi Badakhshi school in 1981 and received courses in the National Academy.

She served as a prosecutor in the the Deputy’s Office of the Attorney General and also as the Head of the Women’s Council in the Office of the Attorney General. Ms Zaki also served in the ministry of interior.

It is the second time that she entered the Afghan parliament and she has been an independent candidate. She served as a member of pf Internal Security Commission in the 16th round of parliament.

Shinkai Karokhail: Lawmaker from Kabul

Shinkai Karokhail, daughter of Ghulam Hassan, was born in 1962 in Khak Jabar district of Kabul province. She completed an English course at National Institute for Modern Language in Islamabad city of Pakistan.

Ms Karokhail is the founder of Shahid Wali Khan school in Pakistan where she served as a teacher as well. She has worked as caretaker of children and dependent women department and been an in-charge of the communication officer of Afghan Women’s Education Center.

It is the third time that she entered the Afghan parliament as representative of Kabul province. In the 16th round of parliament, she had served as a member of the Finance and Budget and Banking Commission of parliament. Ms Karokhail has been an independent candidate from Kabul.

Fawzia Naseryar, Kabul

Fawzia Naseryar, daughter of Ghulam Dastgeer, was born in 1970 in Kabul city. Ms Naseryar completed her secondary education at Ayesha Durani school in 1984 and obtained her bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1991 from Kabul university.

Prior to her candidature for the Afghan parliament, Ms Naseryar worked for 20 years at Afsotar company as well as in Ariana Afghan Airlines.

It is the second time Ms Naseryar entered house of presentative. In the previous term she served as a member of the National Budget Commission. She has been an independent candidate from Kabul province.
