Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in a decree has appointed Nur ul-Haq Ulumi as his special envoy for good governance affairs.

The Presidential administration said on Tuesday that he will also take the responsibility of leading the subcommittee of the Supreme Council of the Rule of Law and Governance, and membership of the cabinet.

Ulumi is the leader of the United National Party and was a candidate in the 2019 Presidential election. Previously, he has also served as the Interior Minister from 2015 to 2016.
