The Massive Turnout in Kandahar

After a week’s waiting, the people of Kandahar province have come to the polls with great enthusiasm.
There are long queues and gatherings in the various election centers in the district and center of the Kandahar.

Disabled and old men have also come to the ballot boxes.

There are reports that some polling stations in Kandahar have not been opened due to lack of staff, or lack of a biometric system and/or the voter list.

The turnout of women is also considerable in Kandahar parliamentary elections.

The people’s enthusiasm comes right after their celebrated hero late Gen Razeq was martyred in an attack a few days ago.
Perhaps this is an ode to Gen Razeq.
