With the growing number of people infected with the coronavirus in Herat province, as well as the collective and public efforts to cooperate with the people, Nisar Ahmad Faizi Ghoriani, a former Herat MP, has dedicated his hotel on Saturday to take care of people suspected of having the coronavirus.

The hotel, which Mr. Faizi said is a high-security camp, was built and rented out to foreigners, but has since been handed over to the Ministry of Public Health to fight the coronavirus.

The hotel was converted into a 300-bed hospital

The 300-bed hospital for the evacuation and treatment of COVID-19 (Ghoriani) is located in the 5th PD of Herat city, on Shahid Mirwais Sadegh Boulevard / Sixty-Fourth Avenue. The hospital is built on an area of ​​about 18 and a half acres of land with high security.

The camp, which is built for foreigners living in Afghanistan with all the heating and cooling facilities, has a helicopter seat, and equipped rooms.

The 300-bed hospital for the evacuation and treatment of COVID-19 (Ghoriani) is located in the 5th PD of Herat city, on Shahid Mirwais Sadegh Boulevard / Sixty-Fourth Avenue. The hospital is built on an area of ​​about 18 and a half acres of land with high security.

Built in 2010, the building has two centered repairs and two blocks. In each container repair, 80 rooms have been built, each of which has 20 feet and is equipped with air conditioning, TV, etc. Two Cancer repair shops have been built, one in 5 floors and the other in 3 floors.

“The Coronavirus is a dangerous virus, especially for Afghan citizens in Herat province. Unfortunately, a large number of immigrants from Iran have been infected,” said Nisar Ahmad Faizi Ghoriani, the camp’s owner. “I want to help my people. And now this 300-bed hotel has been given to the Ministry of Public Health to use to care for people with corona.”

$ 230,000 donation from Afghan businessman

Mr. Ghoriani was a member of parliament in the 16th term of the parliament and is currently works as a businessman.

With this initiative, Mr. Faizi was able to indirectly contribute $ 230,000 to the Afghan health sector. He had previously rented the camp or hotel for $ 230,000 to foreigners living in Afghanistan, but has now decided to use it to treat citizens of Herat.

The camp still has free internet access, all of which is provided free of charge to health workers in Herat and the people.

“Now the camp has all the equipment, except for some medical equipment, which is being prepared by the Ministry of Public Health. Now all patients can be transferred to this place with the decision of the Ministry of Public Health,” the former lawmaker added.

The 300-bed hospital, known as the 300-bed hospital called COVID-19 Ghoriani Hospital, is set to be used to reduce the density of patients at Herat Shaidayee Hospital.
