Chabahar Port Sees 28% Growth In Foreign Trade

The southeaster Iranian port of Chabahar has experienced 28% growth in foreign trade and transit trade, said the Director-General of Ports and Maritime Organization of Sistan-Baluchestan Behrouz Aqaei.

Aqaei said by end of August, the consignment to Afghanistan which has transited through the port accounted for 23% of the total traffic.

India donated wheat and sugar to Afghanistan and the ships dock at Shahid Beheshti Port.

The cargo then makes its way overland and is transported to Afghanistan through the Milak border crossing.
