12 Taliban Killed, Wounded in Wardak Airstrike

Local officials in Maidan Wardak province said 12 Taliban insurgents, including the group’s shadow governor, have been killed and wounded in an airstrike.

According to the Wardak governor’s office, four Taliban fighters were killed in the airstrike, and Mullah Wali Jan, known as Hamza, the Taliban’s shadow governor, was wounded along with eight Taliban fighters.

According to a press release, the Taliban base was destroyed along with a number of ammunition from the group.
