2 Killed and 18 Wounded in Kunduz Explosion

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has confirmed that at least two people were killed and 18 others wounded in an explosion in Kunduz province today.

The spokesman of MoI, Tariq Arian said, “Some explosives which were placed in a motorcycle by the Taliban went off in Kunduz City at around 11:00am (local time) on Tuesday.” Arian noted a policeman is among the deceased while the wounded were all civilians.

This comes as Afghan security officials claimed that the Taliban has launched a Spring Offensive by increasing the number of attacks. This has also made the Afghan security forces switch from a defensive mode to an offensive mode.
