29 Taliban Militants Killed in Helmand: MoD

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) says at least 29 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 26 others wounded during air and ground operations.

The deputy spokesman of MoD, Fawad Aman said the Taliban militants killed in two Districts of the Helmand province: Nahr-e Saraj and Sangin.

The Ministry has previously said that 23 Taliban insurgents were killed in Uruzgan province.

This comes as President Ghani has ordered to switch the Afghan forces from defensive to offensive mode in their operations.
