Abdul Wahid Qatali has been appointed as the governor of Herat by a presidential decree, replacing Abdul Qayum Rahimi, the Independent Directorate of Local Governance confirmed.
It is worth mentioning that Qatali has previously worked as the chief of Herat provincial Council.
President Ghani has also appointed the acting Finance Minister and Kabul Mayor.
