India-Afghanistan Trade Continues to Increase: Ambassador

The Ambassador of India to Kabul says the trade between India and Afghanistan continues to increase.

“During March 2020, seventeen flights were operated from Kabul to New Delhi and Mumbai, which carried 168 metric tonnes of Afghan exports to India,” said Vinay Kumar, the Indian Ambassador.


The bilateral trade between India and Afghanistan is expected to more than double in 2020 with the opening of air cargo route between the two countries.

Since starting of Kabul -New Delhi air corridor in mid-June 2017 followed by second air corridor between Kabul-Mumbai in December 2017 more than hundred Flights have been conducted between the two countries and transported tonnes of goods.
