The Jamiat-e-Islami Party, led by Salahuddin Rabbani, issued a statement on Monday stating that the party was one of the main pillars of the Stability and Partnership electoral team, and Abdullah Abdullah’s team.

Jamiat party has stressed that it does not involve in Abdullah Abdullah’s recent agreement with Ashraf Ghani.

The statement said that Jamiat-e-Islami called the results of the September presidential election illegal and illegitimate.

The party has stated that it will not back down from its people ‘s demand for justice in order to change the “authoritarian” structure of the centralized system; It has a commitment to change the structure of the centralized system and to establish a government based on the real voice of the people, and in consultation with other parties and aligned figures, it remains stronger than ever on the battlefield.

This comes as President Ashraf Ghani and his rival Abdullah signed a power-sharing deal to end a months-long political stalemate.

Abdullah would lead the council for peace talks with the insurgent Taliban and his team members would be included in cabinet.
