The National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces on Wednesday said that a joint IS-K and Haqqani network cell was eliminated in Kabul.
The cell was eliminated by three operations in Shakar Dara district and Police District 11 of Kabul, the National Directorate of Security said in a statement.
The cell was led by Sanaullah, the in-charge of IS-K inscriptions and urban coordinator of Haqqani network in Kabul, the statement said.
The cell was behind attacks on presidential inauguration, Sikh temple, gathering at Musala Mazari, and Bagram, according to the statement.
The cell was also carrying out assassinations in Kabul.
Eight terrorists were arrested and five others were killed in the raids. Weapons and explosives were also seized, based on the statement.
