Over 13,500 Stranded Afghans Entered the Country After Torkham Crossing Opened

Afghan local officials say more than 13,500 Afghans have returned from Pakistan in the past 24 hours after Torkham border was opened for a day on Saturday.

The spokesman of Nangarhar governor, Ataullah Khogyani said 450 Pakistani nationals also returned to their homes.

This comes as the Torkham border opened at around 08:00am in the morning and closed again at the end of the day.
