President of Iran Hassan Rouhani says that the security of the countries in the region, including Iran and Afghanistan is tied together and the establishment of stability and development in the region depends on the cooperation of the countries of the region.
In a meeting with Afghan CE Dr. Abdullah on Saturday on the sidelines of CICA summit in Dushanbe city, Hassan Rouhani said that there are many capacities for bilateral and regional economic development and transit opportunities and should be under consideration of joint bilateral cooperation commission.
He added that “the responsibility of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation of the two countries has been given to Minister of Energy of Iran, and he is committed to the issues of economic development, including discussions on the Chabahar port, rail connectivity, water, environment and energy, as well as joint investments In pursuit of mineral resources. ”
At the same time, Rouhani has emphasized that the participation of all groups and nations is necessary for development and stability of Afghanistan.
Referring to Iran’s efforts to combat terrorism and drug trafficking, Dr. Abdullah also called for greater cooperation between Tehran and Kabul in these areas.
The Chief Executive of the Government has emphasized the need for cooperation of all countries in the region in fight and eradication of terrorism.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Hassan Rouhani met and talked with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, in the Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
