Taliban Shadow Governor Killed in Faryab

Afghan security officials say at least 15 Taliban insurgents including the shadow governor for Qaisat District of have been killed in Faryab province.

Faryab Police commander, Ghaibatullah Sadat said, “A Taliban’s hideout and four security outposts were destroyed as a result of clashes between security forces and the Taliban in Kohi village of Qaisar District at around 07:00am on Thursday.”

According to him, the killed insurgents include Sheikh Samad, two key commander named Qari Nadem Babur and Mullah Saheb Khan Baburi.

This comes as three security forces were wounded and other was killed.
