In a tweet today, U.S. Charge d’Affaires Ross Wilson said Afghans deserve to live in peace, while condemning the attacks in Ghazni and Zabul provinces. “In this holy month, I urge an end to the violence and a start to peace talks now,” Wilson wrote.
At least four civilians were killed in an IED explosion in Zabul province while five were killed and 32 wounded in a car bomb explosion in Ghazni province. This surge in attacks comes as officials claimed that the Taliban has launched a Spring Offensive.
