“We Can’t Remain Silent Against Child Killers”: Ghani

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in a meeting with members of the special forces of the Afghan National Police (ANP) on Monday said his administration cannot remain “silent” against those killing children. He was referring to last week’s attack on a maternity hospital in Kabul where gunmen massacred at least 24 people, including mothers and their newborn babies. Ghani declared that the enemies of Afghanistan are against human and Islamic values.

He told Acting Minister of Interior Masoud Andarabi to assist the families of the victims and martyrs.

President Ghani added that the security forces switched from defensive mode to offensive mode due to the recent attacks in Kabul, Nangarhar and Paktia provinces.
