Mohammad Nasim Modabir: Lawmaker from Baghlan
Mohammad Nasim Modabir was born in 1979 in Kunduz province.
Mr. Modabir completed school at Khatam-al Anbiya school in Pol-e-Khomri in 2001. He studied Curative Medicine at Kabul University and obtained his bachelor’s degree in 2009. Mr. Modabir has previously served as chairman of Andrabi People’s Council in Baghlan province.
Mohammad Nasim Modabir is an ethnic Tajik and it is the first time he entered the House of Representatives. Mr. Modabir doesn’t hold membership in political parties.
Haider Jan Naimzoy: Lawmaker from Kuchis Constituency
Haider Jan Naimzoy, son of Haji Naim Khan Kuchi, was born in 1978 in Logar province.
Mr. Naimzoy completed school at Bibi Amina school in Peshawar city. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Maiwand Institute of Higher Education in 2018.
Mr. Naimzoy is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the third time he entered the Afghan parliament representing Kuchis (nomads).
In the previous rounds of parliament, Mr. Naimzoy served as a member of the Kuchis, Tribal, Immigrants and Repatriates Commission of the house. He doesn’t hold membership in political parties.
Habibulrahman Afghan: Lawmaker from Kuchi Constituency
Habibulrahman Afghan, son of Kheial Mohammad, was born in 1966 in Kapisa province.
Mr. Afghan has studied in a private religious school and he served as a Jihadi commander from 1981 to 1992, and also as a commander of thr 56th combat regiment of NDS from 1992 to 1997.
It is the second time that Mr. Afghan entered the Afghan parliament. In the previous round of parliament, he served as a member of the Kuchis, Tribal and Immigrant Commission.
He is former member of the Hezb-e-Islami.
Aryan Yoon: Lawmaker from Nangarhar
Aryan Yoon was born in 1976 in Nangarhar province and completed school at the Amina Fadoy high school. Ms Yoon earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Literature from Kabul University.
This is the third time that Ms Yoon entered the Afghan parliament. In the previous rounds of the house, she served as a member of the International Commission. Ms Yoon has also served as a university lecturer.
She is an ethnic Pashtun and has been an independent candidate.
Parwiz Arabzada: Lawmaker from Kunduz Province
Parwiz Arabzada was born in 1985 in PD5 of Kabul city.
He finished his elementary school education at Ispin Kalai school and completed high school at Ghulam Haidar school in 2012. Mr. Arabzada then earned his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from Tabesh University in 2015.
He had been a businessman before he entered the House of Representatives. Mr. Arabzada is from the Arab tribe.
Asadullah Shahbaz: Lawmaker from Baghlan
Asadullah Shahbaz was born in 1983 in Baghlan-i-Markazi District.
He graduated from a private university in Baghlan province in 2012 holds a bachelor’s degree in Law.
He has previously served as a member of the Baghlan Provincial Council for two rounds. Mr. Shahbaz was an independent candidate for the 17th round of Afghan parliament and is an ethnic Pashtun.
Haji Mohammad Sadiq Qadiri: Lawmaker from Herat
Haji Mohammad Sadiq Qaridi was born in one of the northern provinces of Afghanistan.
Mr. Qadiri is currently an undergraduate student in law. Prior to entering the Afghan parliament, he had been busy with business operations.
Haji Mohammad Sadiq is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he entered his he parliament representing people of Herat province. He was an independent candidate for the parliamentary election.
Fazal Karim Aimaq: Lawmaker from Kunduz
Fazal Karim Aimaq, son of Abdul Rahim was born in 1952 in Baghlan province.
Mr. Aimaq completed school in 1970 from the Sheberghan High school of Kunduz province and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law from Kabul University.
Mr. Aimaq also fought in the Front during Jihad and has worked at the Spinzar Company in Kunduz province. Moreover, he served as the Mayor of Kabul.
Fazal Karim Aimaq is from the Aimaq tribe and it is the second time that he entered the Afghan parliament from Kunduz province. In the 16th round of the parliament, he served as a member of the International Relations Commission. Mr. Aimaq holds a membership in the Hezbi-islami Afghanistan.
Mohammad Akbar Sultan Zada: Lawmaker from Sar-e Pol
Mohammad Akbar Sultan Zada, son of Haji Mohammad Ibrahim, was born in 1986 in Shahr-e naw of Sar-e Pol province.
Mr. Sultan Zada completed school at Balkh province. After graduation from school, Mr. Sultan Zada started a business between Afghanistan and Central Asia.
Mohammad Akbar Sultan Zada is an ethnic Tajik and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He was an independent candidate from Sar-e Pol province and doesn’t hold membership in political parties.
Razia Sadat Mangal: Lawmaker from Paktia
Razia Sadat Mangal, daughter of Nek Mohammad, was born in 1973 in Sayid Karam district of Paktia province.
Ms Mangal graduated from the Aemas school of Islamabad in 1989. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in Banking and Accounting from Wiley Collage.
Ms Mangal is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the second time that she entered the parliament representing people of Paktia province. She has been an independent candidate for the parliamentary elections and doesn’t hold membership in political parties.
In the 16th round of the parliament, Razia Sadat Mangal served as a member of the Religion and Cultural Affairs, Education and Higher Education Commission of parliament.
Mohammadullah Batash: Lawmaker from Kunduz
Mohammadullah Batash was born in 1961 in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province.
He completed school in 1978 from the Imam Sahib Male School of Kunduz province. Mr. Batash then obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Law and Political Science from one of the universities in Russia. Mr. Batash stepped up to earn his doctorate degree from Moscow in 1994.
Mr. Batash has served as a Legal Advisor to the presidential palace and the independent directorate of local governance. He has also served as the governor of Faryab province for three years.
Mr. Batash has worked at different senior positions at the Ministry of Transport and has also served as the deputy, acting minister and also the minister of Ministry of Transport.
Mr. Batash is an ethnic Uzbek and it is the first time that he entered the Afghan parliament. He holds a membership of the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan.
Farzana Kuchi: Lawmaker from Kuchis constituency
Farzana Kuchi was born in 1992 in Baghlan province. Although Ms Kuchi hails from Parwan, she completed her school at Baghlan province in 2011.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from a private university. Ms. Kuchi has worked in the government as well as many civil society organizations with a focus on women economic empowerment and human rights.
Ms Kuchi is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that she entered the House of Representatives with votes of Kuchis. She doesn’t hold membership in political parties.
Engineer Mohammad Arif Noorzai: Lawmaker from Kandahar
Engineer Mohammad Arif Noorzai was born in 1958 in Kandahar province.
He graduated from the Al-Biruni school of Kabul city. He was then an undergraduate fellow in the Engineering field at Polytechnic University, but when the conflict began in Afghanistan, he joined the Front to fight Soviet Union.
During the period of Islamic State of Afghanistan role led by Burhanuddin Rabbani, Mr. Noorzai served as the commander of 7th Division. In the 16th round of the parliament, he served as the first deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Mohammad Arif Noorzai is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the second time that he entered the parliament. He doesn’t hold any membership in political parties.
Nazifa Yousofi Bek: Lawmaker from Takhar
Nazifa Yousofi Bek was born in 1986 in Takhar province. She graduated from the Tajrobavi high school of Mazar-i-Sharif.
Ms Yousofi then earned her bachelor’s degree in Science from the Education Faculty of Balkh province.
Prior to entering politics, she served as a lecturer at the Teacher Training College of Takhar province.
It is the first time that Nazifa Yousofi Bek entered the House of Representatives. She doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate from Takhar province.
Nilofar Jalali Koofi: Lawmaker from Kunduz
Nifolar Jalali Koofi, daughter of Abdullah, was born in 1984 in Kabul province. Ms Koofi completed her school from the Abulqasim Firdausi school. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Mahatma Gandhi University of India.
Ms Koofi has worked in various construction companies and in different capacities. She also worked as the deputy director of Darwaz Reconstruction and Services Company, as the Vice-chairman of Construction and Logistics Services Company of Sofi Brothers, as the chairperson of Golf Construction and Logistics Service Company and also as the chairman of Al Zahra Charity Foundation.
Nilofar Jalali Koofi is from the Sadat tribe and it is the first time that she entered the House of Representatives. She doesn’t hold membership in any political parties.
Mohammad Azim Mohsini: Lawmaker from Baghlan
Mohammad Azim Mohsini, son of Mohammad Hassan, was born in 1974 in Baghlan province. Mr. Mohsini graduated from Sangaran high school and earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Baghlan university in 2007. Mr. Mohsini then served in the military over a decade. He is also the chairman of Pamir Company.
It is the second time that he entered the House of Representatives from Baghlan province. He served as a member of the Finance and Budget Commission in the previous round of parliament. Mr. Azim Mohsini doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate from Baghlan province.
