Habiburahman Sayyaf: Lawmaker from Kabul

Habiburahman, son of Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf, was born in April 1981. He graduated from the  Hara school and attained both his bachelors degree in management and masters degree in jurisprudence and law  from private universities in Kabul.

He has served as a chairman of the youth of Dawat-e-Islami Afghanistan for many years and has also been active in political, social, cultural and civil activities. He held the responsibility of organising academic seminars as well.

Mr. Sayyaf has taught law, political science and Sharia at university level. He also served as the dean of Law and Political Science faculty at a university.

His other work experience includes being the chief editor of Dawat-e-Islami Radio and Television and the director of Ofuq Center for Strategic Studies.

He has been a candidate from the Dawat-e-Islami political party.

Mr. Sayyaf is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he has been elected to the Afghan parliament.

Hamida Ahmadzai: Lawmaker from Kuchi Constituency

Hamida Ahmadzai was born in 1982 in Kabul city. Ms Ahmadzai is originally from Pol Alam district of Logar province. She also served as a member in the 16th round of parliament and has been member of the Kuchi, tribal and refugees Commission of the house.

Ms Ahmadzai completed her school at the Nahid Shaheed High School in 2005. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in law and political science from a private university in Kabul.

She has been member of the Emergency and Consultative Loya Jirga. Ms Ahmadzai has also been active in education sector as a member of the monitoring team at Logar Directorate of Education and as a deputy of women’s affairs in the province.

She additionally served as the one in control in Kabul zone for approving the constitution.

Ms Ahmadzai is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the second time that she has secured a seat in the Afghan parliament from the Kuchi constituency.

Najibullah Nasir: Lawmaker from Kabul

Najibullah Nasir was born in 25 November 1981 in Nimruz province. Mr. Nasir obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law from a university in India.

He has served as the head of Nimruz Provincial Council for five years. Mr. Nasir has also worked as an advisor to thr presidential palace during the National Unity Government. He has also worked as a chairman of Naserian Tribe of Afghanistan. He is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the second time that he was elected to a seat in parliament.

 

Mohammad Khan Ahmadi: Lawmaker from Kabul

Mohammad Khan Ahmadi was born in 1982 in Kabul province. He has received religious studies and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Sharia. Mullah Mohammad Gul Ahmadi is an ethnic Pashtun. He has been an independent candidate and is a new face in the Afghan parliament.

His brother, Mawlawi Tarakhel Mohammadi, has served in the 15th and 16th rounds of parliament but couldn’t manage to secure a seat in this round of the Afghan house of Representatives. Mr. Ahmadi has also served in the High Peace Council for two years.

Shah Wazir Tarakhel: Lawmaker from Kuchi Constituency

Shah Wazir Tarakhel was born in 1990 in Kabul city. Mr. Tarakhel graduated from school in Kabul city. Mr. Tarakhel then earned his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political science. He has also studied in Police Academy. Mr. Shah Wazi Tarakhel is also an ethnic Pashtun who has been an independent candidate in parliamentary elections.

He also served as the Kabul General Directorate of Staff, chief of PD21 of Kabul city and also at Kabul.
