Mir Amanullah Guzar
Mir Amanullah Guzar, son of Mir Abdullah, was born in 1962 in Mir Bacha Kot district of Kabul province.
Mr Guzar graduated from the Mir Bacha Koot School and decided to not pursue higher education thereafter. He worked as a commander of the Jamiat-e Islami and since the fall of the Taliban regime in late 2001, Guzar has also worked with the Afghan National Police.
He was first appointed as the Eighth Division Commander during the interim transitional state of Afghanistan and later assumed the post of commander of the Northern Highway Patrol. He has been a chairman of the Kohdaman Council as well.
Mir Amanullah Guzar is an ethnic Tajik and it is the second time he entered the Afghan parliament. He has been an independent candidate from Kabul.
Erfanullah Erfan: Lawmaker from Kabul
Erfanullah Erfan, son of Mohammad Roz, was born in 1970 in Farza district of Kabul.
Mr. Erfan completed his religious education in one of the private schools in 1990 and then obtained his bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence and law.
His experience includes being a professor of Islamic studies at the Kabul Medical University, serving as a teacher at Imam Ghazali High School in Peshawar and Maskinia Faza Madrasa and finally as a teacher at Farza high school.
It is the second time that he entered the House of Representatives. In the previous round of parliament, he served as the deputy secretary of Wolesi Jirga. He has been an independent candidate from Kabul city.
Anwar Khan Oryakhail: Lawmaker from Kabul
Anwar Khan Oryakhail, son of Asadullah Khan, was born in 1356 in Qarabagh district of Kabul.
Mr. Oryakhail completed his primary education at the Bagh Alam School and his secondary education at Qara Bagh High School in 1977.
Mr. Oryakhail has been a jihadist commander and the deputy chairman of the Council of Students throughout Afghanistan.
He is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the third time that he entered the Afghan parliament. Mr. Oryakhail has been an independent candidate from Kabul.
Ramazan Bashardost: Lawmaker from Kabul
Ramazan Bashardost, son of Mohammad Ali, was born in 1961 in Qarabagh district of Ghazni province.
Mr. Bashardost holds a Ph.D. in law from France’s Toulouse University. Bashardost has worked in the UN Department of Afghanistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry. In 2003, he was appointed as the director of the European and Western Political Affairs Department in the ministry.
He has also served as the minister of planning.
Mr. Bashardost is an ethnic Hazara and it is the third time that he entered the House of Representatives. He has been an independent candidate.
Obaidullah Kalimzai: Lawmaker from Kabul
Obaidullah Kalimzai, son of Kalimullah Khan, was born in 1978 in Saydabad district of Wardak province.
Mr. Kalimzai obtained his bachelor’s degree from Medical faculty of the Kabul University in 2005.
It is the second time that he won a seat in the Afghan parliament. In the previous round of the house, he served as a member of the Communication Commission of parliament.
Alhaj Allah Gul Mujahid: Lawmaker from Kabul
Alhaj Allah Gul Mujahid, son of Haji Sher Gul, was born in 1964 in Kabul province. Mr. Mujahid holds a 12th grade diploma.
He served as Jihadi commander in the surrounding of Deh Sabz Kabul city. He had also been involved in business operations. Mr. Mujahid has served as the head of the Social Council of People of Deh Sabz district since 2009.
It is the second time that he entered the Afghan parliament. In the previous round, her served as a member of the Complaints Commission of the house.
Abdulaziz Hamayon Harirod: Lawmaker from Parwan
Abdulaziz Hamayon Harirod was born in 1968 in Parwan province.
He holds two bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, and Law and Political Science respectively. He is also the founder of the Harirod Construction Company.
Mr. Hamayon Harirod is an ethnic Tajik and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate.
Shegofa Nawrozi: Lawmaker from Helmand
Shegofa Nawrozi was born in 1992 in Helmand province.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law, Management and Diplomacy.
It is the first time that she entered the Afghan parliament. Ms Nawrozi doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate from Helmand province.
Ghulam Hussain Naseri: Lawmaker from Kabul
Ghulam Hussain Naseri, son of Ali Juma, was born in 1955 in Maidan Wardak province.
Mr. Naseri earned his bachelor’s in Law and Islamic Philosophy. He then served at the Bamyan Regional Office of Afghan Human Rights Commission for one year. He has also worked for two years at the Independent Election Commission’s main office in Kabul (legal department). Mr. Naseri also served as a spokesperson of the Hezb-e-Wahdat Islami Afghanistan party’s decision-making council in Tehran, Iran (1997-2002).
Mr. Naseri is an ethnic Hazara and it is the second time that he entered the House of Representatives from Kabul. In the previous term of parliament, he represented the people of Maidan Wardak province. Mr. Naseri doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate from Kabul.
Shah Poor Khan Hussainzai: Lawmaker from Logar
Shah Poor Khan Hussainzai was born in 1958 in Logar province.
He studied in school till the 7th grade.
Prior to entering the Afghan parliament, he had been busy with business operations.
Mr. Hussainzai is an ethnic Pashtun and it is the first time that he entered the House of Representatives. He doesn’t hold membership in political parties and has been an independent candidate for parliamentary elections from Logar province.
