414 New Cases of Coronavirus Reported in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has registered 414 new Coronavirus positive cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of patients infected with the disease to 6,053, deputy to spokesman for the ministry Tawhid Shakohmand said Friday.

Of the newly confirmed positive cases, 162 are in Kabul, 132 are in Herat and the remaining 120 positive cases are in other parts of the country, the official said.

He added that 17 patients had died due to COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, totaling the number of deaths to 153 since the outbreak of the virus.

According to the official, 54 COVID-19 affected patients have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of the recovered to 745 since February.
