The President has made it clear that “enemy propaganda” will not be able to create any hurdles for the Afghan people to practice their right to vote.
In a meeting of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces organized in Presidential Palace on Tuesday, the President made these comments and said that the elections are a national and democratic process. He also ensured the security of the elections and that the Afghan armed forces would make sure there is ample security during the election campaigns and voting.
This comes after the Taliban on Monday released a statement threatening to boycott the elections and possibly attack those who are providing security.
