Security Forces Freed 17 Prisoners from Taliban Jail in Kunduz

Security forces have freed 17 prisoners in a raid on Taliban jail in northern Kunduz province on Sunday night, officials said.
The prisoners, all pro-government forces, were released in an operation by Special Forces of National Directorate of Security, said Abdul Rashid Bashir, provincial police chief.

The jail was located in Kobi village of Khanabad district, he said.

No member of security forces or prisoners was hurt in the operation, he added.
