AMD Warns of Heavy Snow, Rain and Flood in 26 Provinces

The Afghan meteorological Department has reported on Monday about relatively high rainfall and snowfall in 26 provinces across the country.

“From the Feb 4 to 5, the probability of relatively severe snow and rain subsequent by flood has been foretasted in the provinces of Badakhshan, Samangan, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jawzjan, Faryab, Badghis, Herat, Ghor, Farah, Daikundi, Bamyan, Helmand, Kandahar, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Paktia, Zabul, Khost, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar, Panjshir, Parwan, Baghlan and Kabul, including Salang highways, with a rainfall between 20-45 mm and snow between 20-30 cm. “
