Afghanistan reported 584 new Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the national total to 10,582 cases, said the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). The government recorded two death and 35 recoveries.
The maximum number of new cases were registered in Kabul (324) and Herat (100) provinces.

The others reported: Nangarhar (35), Kunduz (29), Takhar (22), Balkh (17), Faryab (14), nine in Bamyan, eight each in Maidan Wardak and Parwan, five in Badghis, four in Kunar, three each in Badakhshan and Logar, two in Jawzjan, and one in Laghman.
Kabul and Herat have been consistently recording a high number of positive cases despite the government’s efforts to enforce strict lockdown and quarantine measures.
This increase comes as the Kabul governor announced that they would be gradually taking steps to ease the quarantine and open shops for certain hours.
The country has recorded 218 deaths and recovered 1,075 patients to date.
