5 Civilians Killed In Kunduz By ‘Taliban’ Shelling

Provincial officials claimed that five civilians were killed and seven were wounded when a Taliban mortar landed near Kunduz city on Monday morning.

Kunduz Police spokesperson Hijratullah Akbari said that the incident took place in the Shurabi Qeshlaq area.

Akbari said the victims included women and children.

Akbari blamed the Taliban for firing the mortar.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) also said that the Taliban had fired the mortar.

The Taliban is yet to comment on the incident.
