15 Taliban insurgents were killed and 23 others were injured during a joint clearance operation carried out by ANDSF in Ashkmash District of Takhar.
Haji Sattar, a key local commander of Taliban insurgents was among those killed. Several villages of the Ashkmash was cleared off insurgents.
In another incident, five Taliban insurgents were killed and another was arrested following a clash with ANP in Gul Dara village, Pashtun Kot Disrict of Faryab. ANP seized 3 rifles, 1 motorcycle and some amount of military equipment from the scene.
In the Babi region of Braki Barak District of Logar, 3 Taliban insurgents were killed and 6 others arrested during ANDSF joint clearance operation. Babu, a senior commander of Taliban terrorists was among those killed.
Additionally, in an overnight clash with ANP in Ghazi Abad region, Khogyani District of Nangarhar,five Taliban insurgents were killed and eight others injured
Meanwhile the ANP detected and defused roadside bombs placed by insurgents in Herat- Chesht highway,Mandozai District of Khost and Pul-e-Alam City of Logar.
