At least 6 people were killed, including women and children and 12 others were wounded in a traffic accident in Kandahar province, security officials confirmed.
Abdul Basir Khakasar deputy spokesperson for Kandahar police told Reporterly that, the accident occurred on Saturday morning when a vehicle carrying 18 passengers was enroute from Girishk district of Helmand to Kandahar to attend a wedding ceremony and overturned on the road.
The vehicle was carrying more than safe amount of people and that’s why the accident happened, Khaksar said.

He added that the accident took place in Maiwand district of Kandahar province.
