37 Taliban insurgents have been killed as a result their own car bombing in the Maroof district of southern Kandahar province.
According to Aziz Ahmad Aziz, the governor’s spokesman who informed news sources, the incident took place in Maroof district on late Friday night.
It was reported that the explosives rigged the insurgents’ vehicle and went off, killing several insurgents.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense, confirmed that 37 militants were killed and 15 motorcycles were also destroyed in the bombing.
