MoI Issues Directives to Police to Avoid Attending Wedding Ceremonies in Uniform, Entering Embassies

Ministry of Interior has instructed all its employees and police personnel to not attend wedding ceremonies in wedding halls and prayer ceremonies in mosques in uniform. They are also instructed to avoid going for shopping with their families while in uniform.

The acting minister of Interior Affairs, Amrullah Saleh, has barred police forces from entering embassies without coordination with the relevant authorities.

The ministry says the decision has been made to bring effective management and leadership in the institution
