As a result of the joint operation of police special forces and National Directorate of Security in surroundings of Ashtarlay district of Daikundi province, a huge number of heavy weapons and explosive components have been discovered and confiscated, Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Saturday.
The statement further added that the security forces seized 53 mortar rounds, 8 82mm artillery rounds, 2 IEDs, and an AK47 during this operation.
