Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah says that they have asked air forces and international partners to be more precise in conducting air operations to reduce the causalities of civilians.
“We have been severely affected by the incident, and we hope that such incidents and events should be prevented in the future,” said Chief Executive Office on Saturday in response to air strike of foreign forces in Helmand province which left many Afghan police personnel killed.
The statement added that, Afghan security forces and Resolute Support Mission are directed to investigate the reasons of the incident.
17 policemen, including Colonel Gran Habib, Commander of 601 Highway, were killed in an airstrike carried out “mistakenly by the Resolute Support forces” in Nahr-e-Saraj district in Helmand province, as per reports.
