At least five people were killed and nine others were wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in Gereshk district of Helmand province, on Saturday morning, local officials said.
The spokesman of Helmand governor, Omar Zawak told Reporterly that the incident took place in Muhajer village of Greshk district and children, women are also among the killed and wounded.
Zawak further added that eight members of the Taliban group who were responsible for blowing up public facilities had been killed in clashes with security forces in the Greshk district.
