National Directorate of Security (NDS) said that a group of four Taliban insurgents who blown up a power pylon in Salang has been arrested.
NDS in a statement noted that these individuals were arrested in Ahangaran village of Parwan’s Salang district.
The detainees are identified as Del Agha alias as Mamati, Feda Mohammad Hairan, Mohammad Shafi and Agha Sherin, the statement read.
The statement said, “The group has confessed that as per instruction of their leaderships, they called head of Breshna asking for 1 hundred thousand dollars and threatened to explode the pylons if they do not receive the money.”
According to NDS the individuals have previously committed such action three more times.
Meanwhile, the electricity of 11 provinces including Kabul were interrupted when a power pylon was blown up in Salang.
