The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has confirmed an explosion took place in Kabul city’s Dasht-e-Barchi on Saturday evening.
MoI spokesperson Tariq Arian said the explosion took place at 4:30 pm in the Pul-e-Khushk area of PD13.
Eyewitnesses have said that casualties were reported, but the exact figures are not known.
The site of the explosion is said to be near an educational institution.
