Security officials said that they seized a large amount of explosives from Kabul city.
Kabul Police spokesman Ferdows Faramarz said on Monday that counter-terrorism police personnel of Afghan Ministry of Interior discovered and seized nearly 1000 kilograms of explosive materials from PD9 of Kabul city.
Faramarz added that the material is called RDX-HMS which has high destructive power. He said that this explosive material was placed inside plastic bags.

Several individuals have been detained in connection with the explosives and further investigations are underway, according to Faramarz.
