“This fight will go until a political settlement,” Gen. Scott Miller, the commander of US forces and ResoluteSupport mission in Afghanistan said, as quoted by CNN.
“We have the resource we need, this is Afghans’ fight now, we provide support but you see the causalities, it is their fight now”, Gen Miller added.
US Ambassador John Bass also told CNN “We’ve got an opportunity today that we didn’t have 6 or 12 months ago, to see if it is really possible to achieve that political settlement, we don’t know if we’re going to be successful.”
