An explosion in the Azadi Square area of Logar provincial capital Pul-e-Alam city on Thursday evening, has killed at least 15 people and wounded 30 more.
Initial reports indicate that the explosion was caused by a car or some other type of a vehicle-borne improvised device (VBIED).

A journalist cited sources within the Logar Provincial Council and counter-terrorism officer, who confirmed that it was a powerful car bomb.
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted that they were “not related” to the explosion.
Meanwhile, no other group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
