Pentagon Awards Contract to US Firm for Afghan Air Force’s C-130H Fleet

Pentagon has awarded a new contract to a U.S.-based firm in support of the Afghan Air Force’s C-130H aircraft fleet, as per a statement by the US Department of Defense.

The statement further added that “AAR Supply Chain Inc., doing business as AAR Defense Systems & Logistics, Wood Dale, Illinois, has been awarded a $209,986,676 ceiling indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for C-130H contractor logistics support for the Afghanistan Air Force.”

Furthermore, the defense department said the contract will provide the Afghanistan Air Force with full C-130H contractor logistics support to include maintenance and repair, as well as on the job training for local Afghan nationals.

The defense department also added that this contract involves foreign military sales to Afghanistan.
