Abdullah Abdullah To Visit Iran

Abdullah Abdullah, chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, is scheduled to visit Tehran next week, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Wednesday, that Abdullah will travel to Tehran on Oct. 18 for a three-day visit.

He will be heading a delegation comprising officials from the High Council for National Reconciliation, members of the Afghan National Assembly and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the three-day visit, Abdullah will hold talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and other high-ranking Iranian officials.
