Deputy Head of Ghor Provincial Council Killed in IED Blast

Abdul Rahman Atshan, the deputy head of Ghor Provincial Council was killed in a magnetic Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the capital of the province on Tuesday noon, local officials confirmed.

The spokesman of Ghor governor, Arif Aber told Reporterly that an IED detonated near the provincial council building of Ghor province in Firooz Koh city on Tuesday.

According to Aber, another provincial council member of Ghor was also wounded in the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
