Pakistan Cites UN Law of Self-Defense, As Its Neighbours Complain of it Harbouring Terrorists

Amidst the international flak being received by Pakistan, its Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that his country holds the right to self-defense conforming to the charter of UN on a member country’s right to self-defense.

This was in response to the airstrikes conducted by Indian Air Force on Tuesday which targeted and reportedly destroyed various terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad.


India’s tactical strike was a “necessary” action after it lost more than 40 of its CRPF soldiers on 14 February to an IED suicide blast. India’s Foreign Secretary expressed that despite repeated requests to counter terrorism, Pakistan has been providing safe haven to various terrorists outfits
