The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has actively began replacing static police checkposts throughout the city with mobile police posts instead, the ministry said.
The fresh initiative is aimed at creating psychological and actual safety to Kabul residents, as well as establishing a quicker response and surprising criminals, the statement said.
“In order to ensure better security for Kabul city, the Ministry of Interior has sent necessary instructions to all relevant departments, especially to Kabul police headquarters,” said Nusrat Rahimi a spokesman for Ministry of Interior Affairs.
The implementation of the plan began in Kabul’s police district 11 and will cover the entire city eventually, the minsitry said.
