Ghani Emphasises on Free and Fair Elections, Calls on Candidates to Discuss “Moral Principles”

President Ghani in a live address on Tuesday called on all presidential candidates to sit with him and talks about “moral principles” of the elections.

Ghani directed the Afghan forces and public servants to remain impartial in upcoming presidential elections. “The elections should be held in a free and fair environment,” he stressed.

President Ghani, while wishing everyone a happy Eid said that he appreciates the Afghan forces “bravery” and efforts who are on the frontlines to ensure the safety of the people.

Ghani also clarified that says meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was productive and that he will meet Khan again in Islamabad on June 27.

Moreover, Ghani announced the release of 887 prisoners.
