Former National Security Adviser of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Haneef Atmar has arrived in Moscow to solicit an event to celebrate the diplomatic relations with Russia. He is there along with other Afghan delegates.
Mr Atmar tweeted-“We value the friendship between the two countries & hope for expansion of our ties in the years to come.” He also added that he is planning on meeting his fellow Afghan delegation members, as well as members of a senior Taliban delegation, for an intra-Afghan meeting.
He also mentioned that- “Peace remains a top priority for us Afghans. We will not tire from any efforts towards furthering this sacred cause.”
Expressing his concern for peace in Afghanistan and stressing on his diligence towards it the official said that- “Just to add, in our quest for peace, we remain committed to preserving the Islamic Republic where human and civil rights, especially those of women, are fully safeguarded. “
