Taliban insurgents have reportedly damaged an electricity pylon after firing rocket at it in western Herat province, officials informed on Wednesday.

The incident took place in Mar Abad village of Pashtun Zarghun district on Tuesday, Jelani Farhad a spokesman for provincial governor told 1Tv News.
He said that pylon supported power line from Salma Dam, which is located on Hari River in Chishti Sharif district and which was inaugurated in 2016.
