Logar District governor Sentenced to 10 Years in Jail for ‘Taking Bribe’

The governor of Mohammad Agha district in Logar has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for accepting millions of AFN bribe, an official said.

The spokesman of Afghanistan General Attorney, Jamshid Rasouli said, the district governor was accused of taking 18 million AFN and the verdict was issued by the anti-corruption court.

Apart from being sentenced to imprisonment, the culprit is required to pay the money he took as bribe, Rasooli added.
